As the lead contractor, Compusult Limited is responsible for the overall management of the ARC project. This responsibility includes coordination, accounting, quality assurance, external contracts, internal consortium agreements, reporting, funding partner relations and public Project Management relations.

The overall ARC project is organized into a series of tasks and modules and the function of the project manager is to act to ensure that these tasks are performed in an efficient, co-ordinated fashion and that the individual goals are achieved. The manager will also ensure that duplication of effort is avoided and synergies and efficiencies are enhanced.



Project Management Hierarchy

Project management will be provided by Compusult Limited, under the direction of Paul Mitten, Vice-President. In addition, each member of the ARC consortium and the associate members will provide a management representative or a point of contact for the ARC project. The project manager will act as liaison officer between the ARC consortium and CANARIE Inc. Within the ARC consortium inter-reaction and consultation will occur between the project manager and the management representatives from the consortium members relating to both management issues and development issues.

Performance Targets

The overall performance targets for the ARC project are:
  • compliance with contractual terms and conditions;
  • delivery of the project on time and within budget;
  • meeting or exceeding the objectives of the project; and
  • maintaining the ARC group as a cohesive, productive, and enthusiastic consortium.



Commercialization Plan

The project management team ensures that the individual commercialization plans are met and it is responsible for the promotion of the overall ARC project.
